Aidan Meidenbauer

Aidan Meidenbauer
LakeSmart Program Specialist

Aidan grew up 30 minutes from Lake Erie and learned the value of our world's freshwater resources at a young age. Throughout high school and college, he worked in seasonal positions with the Cleveland Metroparks' Natural Resources Department, focusing on stormwater runoff and watershed health. As a co-director of the park's Watershed Volunteer Program, he gained valuable experience in volunteer leadership and public education and outreach.

In the fall of 2025, he moved to Maine after graduating from the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Biodiversity and minors in Sustainability and Urban Studies. His first year in Maine was spent working with the Hancock County Soil & Water Conservation District, where he began learning about Maine's water conservation efforts. As the Maine Lakes LakeSmart program specialist, Aidan is supporting the program throughout the state with a focus on Hancock, Washington, Penobscot, Aroostook, and Piscataquis Counties.
