Margo Kenyon
Intern, Healthy Beaches program
Margo joins us as a summer intern from Colby College, researching the potential for implementing a clean beaches initiative for freshwater beaches in Maine. She is a rising junior majoring in environmental policy and government, and spent last summer interning with 7 Lakes Alliance in Belgrade, Maine, as an outreach coordinator. In this position she also conducted water sampling and helped to create a database that contributed to North Pond's 2023 Water Based Management Plan. Over the past year, Margo also served as a research assistant for two professors at Colby, researching wake boat management in one position and loss and damage litigation in the other. She is passionate about working with local communities to provide equal access to outdoor spaces for everyone, and hopes to pursue this passion through opportunities such as this, and furthermore in law school.
